Joaquin Pinto (he/him) is a staff writer for Features. Joaquin cites journalism as the gateway for knowledge: an outlet to prevent individuals from remaining ignorant about the world they live in. Joaquin loves to use journalistic writing to learn about interesting places in the city and to fact-check others when they make questionable claims. Currently, The Forgotten New York blog is Joaquin's latest obsession; he views it as a valuable source for information on structures one comes across in NYC! Outside of The Survey, Joaquin enjoys drawing and exploring NYC on his bike. While he hasn't decided on a defined major yet, his general interest is in architecture, civil engineering, and urban planning. As his first year writing for The Survey, Joaquin hopes to continue spreading information to the student body to help Brooklyn Tech learn and grow as a school.
