Jibrail Georgas, Editor-in-Chief
Jibrail Georgas (he/him) is a co-Editor in Chief of The Survey. He believes that the role of journalism is to educate society on the events that occur around us everyday and to give people a platform to voice their thoughts. One aspect of journalism he wants to incorporate into The Survey this year is opening up dialogue to varying and unique opinions to produce change that can better our school community. His favorite news sources include The New York Times, Fivethirtyeight, and The Athletic. Growing up internationally and having a multicultural background, Jibrail loves exploring new places, meeting different people, and trying new foods. Outside of The Survey, Jibrail has been involved with Model UN at Tech. He is also a passionate Knicks and Yankees fan and enjoys watching, talking, and writing about sports. Being a member of The Survey since freshman year, Jibrail has witnessed the newspaper transform into what it is today and is excited to see this year’s team grow together. Additionally, now that The Survey is a daily class, Jibrail can’t wait to produce higher quality, authentic news for the Tech community to read!
