Katherine Chmelev (she/her) is a Staff Writer. Katherine is on The Survey because she is inspired by the ambition of her like-minded peers who all come together to use writing to make an impact. Through journalism, she wants to learn from different people's perspectives in her community on topics she is passionate about and wants to ultimately use it to bring out the truth in people. Katherine reads The New York Times. Katherine wants to be a software engineer. Katherine likes to cook and bake and go to thrift stores or flea markets.
