Shoshannah Odinyayeva, STEM Editor
Shoshannah Odinyayeva (she/her) is a co-editor for STEM. Journalism is important to Shoshannah because it is a space for individuals to analyze the world around them and share their perspectives on pressing contemporary issues. This year in The Survey, Shoshannah is excited about the fast pace of content that will be produced and for the increased enagagement of the student body with the newspaper. To engage with journalism, Shoshannah enjoys reading journalistic writing through sources like The New York Times and The Washington Post. She is also an avid reader, with her favorite works being by Leo Tolstoy and Haruki Murakami. Outside of The Survey, Shoshannah is the President of Tech's debate team and has competed since her freshman year. She also actively engages in the democratic process around her, as she has worked for numerous political campaigns, consulting firms, and courts. As a Biological Sciences major with a heavy interest in politics, Shoshannah plans to double major in biology and political science and continue on to law school. After law school, her hopes are to pursue intellectual property law, so she can help to be part of the process that creates new scientific technology.
