Nayem Jannat, Co-Hard News Editor and Co-Senior Executive Editor

Nayem Jannat (she/her) is a Co-Senior Executive Editor and Hard News Co-Editor. Jannat began her journey with The Survey in sophomore year, as a Hard News Writer. In her junior year, Jannat was Co-Editor for Opinions. She has always loved to write, but she’s drawn to journalism specifically because of the unheard voices it highlights. Jannat likes to read The Atlantic and The New York Times, simple classics as they are. In college, she expects to major in mechanical engineering with a minor in journalism. During her free time, Jannat can be found listening to one of her favorite podcasts, The Unadulterated Thinkery, or trying to find new thriller novels to read. Ironically, her favorite book is not a thriller; it’s A Short Stay in Hell by Steven L. Peck.
