Eman Mubarik (she/her) is a staff writer for Opinions. Eman believes that journalism is crucial in people’s lives as it is a powerful tool. Journalism provides people with information about current events and issues and gives them the power to think critically and form their own decisions. As an avid reader, Eman can be found scrolling through the New York Times or with a book in hand. Some of her favorite reads include A Thousand Splendid Suns and Convenience Store Woman. Outside of The Survey, she is the Internal Representative of SEREIN Magazine and Co-president of BTHSCardsForKindness. In her future, Eman hopes to pursue a career in computer science as she is especially fond of coding. In the meantime, she is excited to write articles and grow as a writer!
