Chris Calderon (he/him) is a staff writer for the Hard News section. For Chris, journalism is important because it allows for the sharing of truthful, unbiased information. Chris also enjoys reading dystopian or deeply emotional books because he feels those are the reads that are particularly immersive to him. Additionally, Chris is an executive member of the National Society of Black Engineers, and through his passion for architecture, he hopes to study civil engineering at university. One fun fact about Chris is that he plays 5 instruments! This year, Chris is excited to start hosting podcasts to create a more engaging way for the Tech community to interact with The Survey.
