Brendan Yee (he/him) is a Staff Writer. Brendan joined The Survey to pursue his passion of writing and to become more connected with the school community. He has always been interested in journalism as he believes that it unites us by sharing the stories and voices of those who would otherwise be overlooked. Brendan reads The New York Times and BBC News. He likes the global reach they have and how they cover a multitude of stories, from local to international. In the future, Brendan would like to do something related to the humanities, whether that be journalism, history, or writing. In his free time, Brendan enjoys playing sports with his brother, learning to cook new foods, reading, and playing video games like GeoGuessr, FIFA, and Valorant. One of Brendan’s favorite books is The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, as he thinks it has a profound and deep message.
