As the high of the holidays has long since faded away, winter has set in, leaving us often opting to stay inside our homes. The list below will cure those winter blues and leave you craving more cold weather. These activities will get the blood pumping, the mind inspired, and will leave you energized.

The Whitney Museum is in a cool and fascinating neighborhood in Manhattan, so just getting there puts you in a prime spot to banish the winter blues! It has great restaurants, and it is only steps away from the High Line.
The Whitney’s art can be kind of obscure, but keep an open mind! The architecture is incredible and the outdoor decks offer a different perspective of Lower Manhattan. You can walk on the Highline and then go across the street to the cool indoor food market on Gansevoort Street.

Rock Climbing in Brooklyn: Who doesn’t want to scale a wall and test their physical and mental strength? At Brooklyn Boulders, you can test your inner Spider-Man or Spider-Woman.They offer special teen classes and programs.

Get your game on at Bowlmor! You’re not limited to just bowling, though. They offer laser tag and arcade games, too. Did I mention their hot dogs and hamburgers? You can make a whole day of it and forget that it is 20 degrees outside.
